New England’s old-world ambience and coziness made Boston a natural choice for my most recent visit there, where I went in search of inspiration. Its narrow cobblestone streets and historic brick buildings give it a more European feel than many American cities, though it also has a cool modern edge. While walking through Quincy Market or Newbury Street I took in the open-air farmer’s markets, street performances, indie design stores and beautiful brownstones.
The is also a very cosmopolitan side to Boston, and a highlight of my trip was visiting the Museum of Fine Arts where I immersed myself in the art and crafts of different cultures and civilizations. I left with a notebook filled with ideas and sketches for my next collection.
